Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Assistant to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector. As an Ultrasound Assistant, you will support our diagnostic imaging services by assisting in the preparation and execution of ultrasound examinations. Your role will contribute significantly to the overall patient experience and the quality of diagnostic imaging services provided.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist ultrasound technologists and radiologists in conducting ultrasound examinations for patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and calibrated according to industry standards.
- Assist in patient preparation by explaining the ultrasound procedure, addressing any concerns, and ensuring patient comfort during examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of patient history and examination results in compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient data by adhering to HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to schedule and coordinate ultrasound appointments efficiently.
- Monitor and assist patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices for imaging procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the imaging department.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in a healthcare-related field, with a focus on ultrasound technology or medical imaging preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical imaging role, preferably in ultrasound assistance or a related position.
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques, as well as an understanding of anatomical structures and pathology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
