Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Activities Director Assistant to support our Activities Director in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of agricultural programs and events in Dubai. This role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about agriculture, has excellent organizational skills, and is capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering community engagement, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Activities Director in the planning, development, and execution of agricultural programs, workshops, and events.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and equipment needs.
- Create and maintain schedules, calendars, and budgets for various activities and programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including agricultural organizations, local farmers, educational institutions, and community groups.
- Assist in the preparation of promotional materials, including flyers, newsletters, and social media content to increase participation and awareness of agricultural events.
- Facilitate registration and communication with participants, including responding to inquiries and providing information about upcoming programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of events and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support the Activities Director in managing volunteers and staff during events, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Maintain records of attendance, participant feedback, and other documentation related to activities and programs.
- Stay informed about current trends in agriculture and related fields to contribute innovative ideas for program development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, program coordination, or a related role, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices and community engagement strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for agriculture and sustainable practices is essential.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
