Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our healthcare team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care and management of animals within our facility, ensuring their health, well-being, and comfort. This role is vital to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to animals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide daily care for a variety of animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising them as required.
- Monitor the physical and emotional health of animals, identifying any signs of distress or illness and reporting them to veterinary staff.
- Assist in administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Maintain clean and safe living environments for all animals, including regular cleaning and sanitation of cages, kennels, and outdoor areas.
- Support the veterinary team during examinations, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
- Conduct regular health checks and document observations and changes in animal behavior or condition.
- Educate pet owners and the public about animal care, health, and welfare practices.
- Participate in the training and socialization of animals, employing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in animal care and healthcare practices.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in animal care, veterinary assistance, or a related field are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in animal care, veterinary assistance, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Physical ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.

Working Conditions:

- The position may require working in various environments, including indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
