Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Curator to join our dynamic team in Sharjah, focusing on the intersection of art and energy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of contemporary art practices and how they relate to themes of sustainability, innovation, and the energy sector. As an Art Curator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing exhibitions that provoke thought and dialogue around energy consumption, renewable resources, and environmental consciousness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Exhibition Development: Conceptualize, design, and execute art exhibitions that align with the mission of promoting awareness around energy-related themes. Collaborate with artists, designers, and other curators to create impactful displays.

- Artist Engagement: Identify and collaborate with emerging and established artists whose work resonates with the themes of energy and sustainability. Facilitate artist talks, workshops, and community engagement activities to enhance public understanding of the subject matter.

- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on contemporary art trends, energy-related topics, and cultural movements. Stay abreast of global art practices and innovations in the energy sector to inform curatorial decisions.

- Collection Management: Oversee the acquisition, documentation, and conservation of artworks related to energy themes. Maintain and organize the art collection, ensuring proper care and preservation of all pieces.

- Public Programs: Develop and implement educational programs, panel discussions, and community outreach initiatives to engage diverse audiences with the exhibitions and themes presented.

- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and strategies to enhance the visibility of exhibitions and events. Utilize social media and other platforms to reach broader audiences.

- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of exhibition budgets, ensuring responsible allocation of resources while maximizing impact.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including education, marketing, and community outreach, to ensure a cohesive approach to programming and engagement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in curatorial practice, exhibition design, or art management, preferably with a focus on contemporary art and energy themes.
- Proven track record of organizing successful exhibitions and public programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of current trends in the art world and the energy sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
