Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auctioneer Assistant to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will assist the auctioneer in managing the auction process, ensuring a seamless experience for participants, and supporting the overall operations of telecommunications auctions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the auctioneer in preparing for auctions, including organizing items for sale, ensuring all telecommunications equipment is properly catalogued and displayed.
- Provide excellent customer service to auction participants by answering queries, providing information about auction items, and guiding them through the bidding process.
- Support the auctioneer in executing live auctions, including managing bid increments, acknowledging bids, and facilitating the sale of items.
- Maintain accurate records of all bids and transactions, ensuring proper documentation for financial reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and setup of auction items and telecommunications equipment.
- Help promote upcoming auctions through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and community outreach.
- Assist in the development of auction materials, including brochures, catalogs, and online listings, ensuring that all descriptions are accurate and engaging.
- Participate in post-auction activities, including arranging for the delivery of sold items, processing payments, and gathering feedback from participants to improve future auctions.
- Collaborate with the auction team to identify and implement strategies for enhancing auction efficiency and participant engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an auction house, telecommunications, or related industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Familiarity with auction processes and telecommunications equipment is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
