Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Baggage Handler Assistant to join our dynamic team within the construction sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient handling of baggage and materials, contributing to a safe and organized environment. This position requires a proactive individual who can work in a fast-paced setting and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Baggage Handling: Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of baggage and materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and secure handling at all times.

- Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and equipment related to baggage handling, including forklifts and trolleys, while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing inventory of baggage and materials, documenting any discrepancies or damages, and reporting them to the supervisor.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including supervisors and logistics personnel, to ensure timely and efficient baggage handling and transportation.

- Customer Service: Provide assistance to clients and stakeholders as needed, ensuring a positive experience through effective communication and problem-solving.

- Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance of baggage handling equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in baggage handling, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a construction or airport environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Capable of lifting heavy items and performing physical tasks in various weather conditions.

Skills:

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for inventory and reporting purposes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
