Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Budget Manager to join our team in the dynamic energy sector based in Dubai. This role will be critical in overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure the effective allocation of resources and the financial health of our projects and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management within the energy sector, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Budget Development: Lead the preparation, development, and management of the annual budget for various projects and operations within the energy sector. Collaborate with departmental heads to gather inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis and variance reporting to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial performance.

- Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Adjust forecasts based on actual performance and changing market conditions.

- Cost Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and policies. Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.

- Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing budget status, forecasts, and financial analysis. Present findings in a clear and concise manner.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements. Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and finance, to facilitate effective budget management and align financial goals with operational plans.

- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior finance staff in budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in budget management or financial planning and analysis, preferably within the energy sector or related industries.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards in the UAE.
- Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
