Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer Assistant to join our dynamic procurement team within the education sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing activities of the organization by assisting with the procurement of goods and services necessary for the efficient operation of our educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Procurement Processes: Support the Buyer in sourcing and procuring educational materials, supplies, and services. This includes identifying potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, and evaluating bids.
- Supplier Management: Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Assist in monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Inventory Management: Help manage inventory levels and ensure that stock is replenished in a timely manner. Track inventory usage and assist in forecasting future needs based on educational programs.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information. Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies and procedures.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and new products that can enhance the educational offerings. Present findings to the Buyer for consideration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance and administration, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of purchasing activities.
- Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations and organizational policies. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for audits.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyses to track spending and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the education sector or a similar environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
