Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CFO Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in financial management, strategic planning, and operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making processes. Prepare presentations and reports for the CFO and other senior management.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the CFO, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Project Coordination: Assist in managing financial projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights.
- Budget Management: Support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, including tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Facilitate communication between the CFO and other departments.
- Special Projects: Participate in various special projects as assigned by the CFO, which may include financial modeling, market research, and strategic assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (such as CFA or CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense industry or a related sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Aerospace and Defense sector is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
