Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain Assistant to support the spiritual and emotional needs of employees within our consumer goods organization based in Dubai. The Chaplain Assistant will work closely with the Chaplain to provide guidance, support, and resources to staff, fostering a positive workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Spiritual Support: Assist the Chaplain in providing spiritual care and counseling to employees, addressing their emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs in a confidential and supportive manner.

- Program Development: Collaborate with the Chaplain to design and implement programs and activities that promote spiritual growth, well-being, and community engagement among employees.

- Crisis Intervention: Be available to support employees during times of crisis, offering immediate assistance and referrals to appropriate resources when necessary.

- Event Coordination: Help organize and facilitate spiritual events, retreats, and workshops, ensuring they are inclusive and cater to the diverse backgrounds of our workforce.

- Resource Management: Maintain an up-to-date library of spiritual and emotional well-being resources, including literature, workshops, and support groups, to distribute among staff.

- Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all employees seeking assistance, adhering to ethical standards and organizational policies.

- Outreach and Community Building: Actively engage with staff members to promote the availability of chaplaincy services, encouraging a culture of openness and support.

- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with HR and management to identify and address the spiritual and emotional needs of employees, contributing to overall workplace wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a chaplaincy, pastoral care, or counseling role, preferably in a corporate or community setting.
- Strong understanding of various religious and spiritual beliefs, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a consumer goods industry or corporate setting is a plus.
- Certification or training in chaplaincy or pastoral care is desirable.
- Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Arabic and English, is an advantage.
