Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) to lead our knowledge management initiatives within the agriculture sector in Dubai. The CKO will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance knowledge sharing, innovation, and best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural practices, coupled with expertise in knowledge management and organizational learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive knowledge management strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

2. Knowledge Creation and Sharing:
- Identify and promote best practices in agriculture, including sustainable farming techniques, crop management, and resource optimization.
- Facilitate the creation of knowledge repositories, including databases, reports, and case studies.

3. Innovation and Research:
- Collaborate with research institutions, universities, and agricultural experts to drive innovation and stay at the forefront of agricultural advancements.
- Evaluate emerging trends and technologies in agriculture to recommend strategic initiatives.

4. Training and Development:
- Design and implement training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees and stakeholders in the agriculture sector.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, NGOs, and industry partners to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and forums to share insights and best practices.

6. Performance Measurement:
- Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Report on knowledge management activities and outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

- A Master’s degree in Agriculture, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in knowledge management, organizational development, or a related area, preferably within the agriculture sector.
- Proven experience in leading knowledge management initiatives and fostering a culture of learning.
- Strong understanding of agricultural practices, trends, and innovations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in knowledge management tools and technologies.
