Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team in Dubai within the Consumer Goods sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the project lifecycle by providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, with a focus on consumer goods facilities.
- Project Analysis: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
- Bid Preparation: Assist in the preparation of competitive bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes, assess costs, and negotiate pricing for materials and services.
- Data Management: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, to ensure accurate forecasting for future projects.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with project costs and timelines, providing recommendations to mitigate these risks.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed cost reports and estimates to project managers and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals and cost management strategies.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to keep abreast of current trends and pricing in the construction industry, specifically related to consumer goods projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in estimation and project management practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the consumer goods sector.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards specific to the consumer goods sector.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai.
- Experience with project management software.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar will be an advantage.
