Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cost Estimator Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector based in Dubai. This role is critical in supporting the cost estimation process for various projects and ensuring accurate and timely financial assessments that drive our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for aerospace and defense projects, including materials, labor, overhead, and other associated costs.
- Collaborate with senior cost estimators to gather and analyze data related to project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct market research to gather current pricing information on materials, components, and subcontractor services.
- Support the development and maintenance of cost databases, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Help prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key cost drivers and potential risks.
- Participate in project meetings to understand scope changes and update cost estimates accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new contracts, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all cost estimation documents, methodologies, and rationale for future reference.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the cost estimation workflow.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact project costs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and perform quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and regulations is a plus.
