We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Counselor Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our credit counseling services by assisting clients in managing their financial responsibilities and utilizing technology to streamline processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist credit counselors in evaluating clients' financial situations, including income, expenses, debts, and credit history.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation for client files.
- Help clients understand their credit reports and offer guidance on improving their credit scores.
- Utilize financial software and IT tools to analyze data and generate reports for credit counseling sessions.
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to provide support and answer inquiries related to credit management.
- Schedule appointments for credit counseling sessions and follow up with clients to ensure they are on track with their financial plans.
- Collaborate with the IT department to implement and improve digital tools that enhance the efficiency of credit counseling services.
- Conduct research on financial products and services to provide clients with informed recommendations.
- Assist in the development of educational materials and workshops focused on credit management and financial literacy.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in credit counseling, financial services, or a related field.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of credit reports, credit scoring models, and debt management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding credit counseling and consumer protection.
- Experience with CRM systems and financial planning software.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
