Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Operations Program Manager to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceuticals sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the credit operations processes, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, and enhancing the overall efficiency of credit management within the organization. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our financial objectives and improving customer relationships through effective credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Credit Management Oversight: Lead the credit operations team in assessing customer creditworthiness, conducting credit risk analysis, and establishing credit limits in alignment with company policies and industry standards.

- Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement best practices for credit operations, including streamlining credit application processes, enhancing credit assessment methodologies, and optimizing collections strategies.

- Policy Development: Design and enforce credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. Regularly review and update policies to adapt to market changes.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on credit operations performance, including key metrics such as days sales outstanding (DSO), credit exposure, and bad debt ratios to senior management.

- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, finance, and legal teams to facilitate effective communication and ensure alignment on credit-related matters. Provide guidance on credit implications for new business initiatives and customer agreements.

- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough credit assessments for new and existing customers, utilizing financial statements, credit reports, and industry analysis to inform decision-making.

- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing training and development opportunities to foster a high-performance culture and enhance team capabilities.

- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their credit needs, resolve disputes, and support their financial health while safeguarding the company's interests.

- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to credit operations. Prepare for and participate in audits, addressing any findings or recommendations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Credit Professional) is a plus.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit operations or credit risk management, preferably within the pharmaceuticals or healthcare industry.

- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and financial reporting.

- Proven experience in process improvement and implementing best practices in credit operations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with customers.

- Proficient in credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- Knowledge of local and international financial regulations affecting credit operations in the pharmaceuticals sector.
