Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Criminal Justice Instructor to join our team in Dubai, specializing in Aerospace and Defense. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of criminal justice principles, law enforcement practices, and security protocols within the context of the aerospace and defense sector. This position requires an individual who is passionate about educating and mentoring students, fostering a robust learning environment, and staying current with industry trends and legal developments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive course materials, syllabi, and instructional strategies for criminal justice courses with a focus on aerospace and defense.

- Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops that cover various aspects of criminal justice, including but not limited to law enforcement, security management, counter-terrorism, and legal frameworks relevant to the aerospace and defense industries.

- Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and practical exercises, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

- Advising and Mentoring: Act as an academic advisor to students, guiding them in their educational and career paths related to criminal justice in the aerospace and defense sectors.

- Industry Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with industry professionals, organizations, and agencies to create opportunities for student internships and job placements.

- Research and Development: Engage in research activities related to criminal justice, security issues, and industry-specific challenges, contributing to the academic community and enhancing course content.

- Professional Development: Stay informed on the latest developments in criminal justice, aerospace security, and defense strategies, incorporating relevant findings into the curriculum and teaching methodologies.

- Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach programs and public seminars to promote awareness of criminal justice issues in the context of aerospace and defense.

- Administrative Duties: Assist with departmental administrative tasks, including maintaining student records, participating in faculty meetings, and contributing to program evaluation and improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

- Education: Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Public Administration, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred but not mandatory.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, or security within the aerospace and defense sectors.

- Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching at the college or university level is highly desirable, with a demonstrated ability to engage students and facilitate learning.

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of criminal justice systems, legal frameworks, security protocols, and issues specific to the aerospace and defense industries.

- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and learning management systems for instructional purposes.

- Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
