Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Cultural Heritage Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cultural heritage preservation, with a strong ability to incorporate these values into the telecommunications landscape. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects and initiatives respect and reflect the rich cultural heritage of the UAE while promoting innovation and technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cultural Heritage Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to integrate cultural heritage considerations into telecommunications projects.
- Collaborate with local communities, cultural institutions, and stakeholders to identify and promote cultural heritage values.

2. Project Management:
- Oversee the execution of cultural heritage projects within the telecommunications domain, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while adhering to cultural sensitivity and regulatory requirements.

3. Research and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough research on the cultural heritage of the UAE, focusing on historical sites, traditional practices, and local narratives.
- Document findings and create detailed reports to support project proposals and heritage management plans.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, cultural organizations, and local communities to facilitate collaboration on heritage initiatives.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and community events to advocate for cultural heritage within the telecommunications sector.

5. Community Outreach and Education:
- Design and implement educational programs and workshops aimed at raising awareness of cultural heritage among employees, stakeholders, and the community.
- Develop outreach materials that highlight the importance of cultural heritage in telecommunications projects.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all projects comply with national and international cultural heritage laws and regulations.
- Identify potential risks to cultural heritage sites and develop mitigation strategies.

7. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact of cultural heritage initiatives.
- Regularly assess project outcomes and suggest improvements based on findings.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Anthropology, History, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cultural heritage management, with a focus on telecommunications or related industries.
- Strong understanding of cultural heritage laws and regulations in the UAE and the broader Middle East region.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience in community engagement and public relations.
- Knowledge of modern telecommunications technologies and their impact on cultural heritage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
