Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in the pharmaceutical sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures and ensuring a seamless patient experience. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready and available.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain an organized and clean dental operatory, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and adhere to radiographic safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, proper care of dental appliances, and postoperative instructions.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage the dental office’s calendar, and handle patient records with confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care and address patient concerns effectively.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available and reporting any shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay updated on industry developments, dental technologies, and best practices to enhance professional growth.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical or pharmaceutical setting.
- Valid dental assistant certification or license as per UAE regulations.
- Proficient in dental software and radiographic equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills:

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to maintain calm under pressure and demonstrate empathy towards patients.
- Proficient in both English and Arabic is an advantage.
