Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Assistant to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will provide support to the electrical engineering team in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and telecommunications equipment, including fiber optics, antennas, and transmission lines.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Support the troubleshooting and repair of electrical components and telecommunications systems as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document and report on work performed, including any issues encountered and resolutions implemented.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and tools necessary for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in on-site training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Support the team in various electrical projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical work, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, telecommunications equipment, and relevant tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in electrical work.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
