Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Epidemiology Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Ras Al Khaimah within the energy sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing public health data related to energy production and consumption, with a focus on understanding the epidemiological impact of energy activities on community health.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Collection and Management: Collect, clean, and maintain large datasets from various sources, including health databases, energy consumption reports, and environmental monitoring systems.

- Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analyses using software such as R, SAS, or Python to identify trends, correlations, and patterns in health data related to energy exposure and its effects on public health.

- Epidemiological Research: Assist in the design and implementation of epidemiological studies to assess the impact of energy-related activities on community health outcomes. This could include studies on air quality, noise pollution, and other health determinants.

- Reporting and Visualization: Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, including government agencies, health organizations, and internal teams.

- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists, public health officials, and policy-makers, to support research initiatives and inform health policies related to energy.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy through systematic validation and quality control processes.

- Literature Review: Stay current with relevant research and literature in epidemiology, public health, and energy to inform ongoing projects and contribute to best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in data analysis, epidemiology, or a related field, preferably within the energy sector.

- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, or Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

- Solid understanding of epidemiological principles and methods, including study design, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with health regulations and policies related to energy and environmental health is a plus.
