Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Management Manager to oversee and coordinate the operations, maintenance, and services of facilities within our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, particularly within the construction sector, and possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with local regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of facilities management for construction sites, including maintenance, repair, and operation of buildings and equipment.
- Develop and implement facilities management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of maintenance and repair work.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maintenance practices.
- Ensure that all facilities meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, including sustainability initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of facilities management staff, providing guidance and support in their daily operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Analyze data related to facilities performance and prepare reports for senior management.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services related to facilities management.
- Act as the point of contact for any facilities-related emergencies and ensure swift resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in project management and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to the UAE and construction industry.
- Professional certifications in facilities management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) are a plus.
