Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Operations Program Manager to oversee and optimize our agricultural operations within the healthcare sector in Al Ain. This position will play a pivotal role in managing the integration of farm production with healthcare initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality produce that meets the nutritional needs of our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural management, program development, and a passion for enhancing health outcomes through sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Management:
- Design, implement, and manage farm operations programs that align with healthcare objectives.
- Develop and maintain operational plans, budgets, and schedules to achieve program goals.
- Monitor program performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of agricultural staff, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and accountability.

3. Sustainable Farming Practices:
- Implement and advocate for sustainable agricultural practices that minimize environmental impact and promote biodiversity.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies that can enhance farm productivity and sustainability.

4. Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure all produce meets healthcare quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce safety and quality control protocols in all farming operations.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their produce needs and preferences.
- Engage with local authorities, agricultural experts, and community organizations to promote the farm’s initiatives.

6. Data Management and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to track farm performance, yield, and resource utilization.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on program status, challenges, and opportunities.

7. Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for farm operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant writing to support program initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in farm operations management, preferably within the healthcare or food production sectors.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and agricultural technologies.
- Proven experience in program management, including budget oversight and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
