Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fish Biologist to join our team in Dubai, focusing on the intersection of marine biology and real estate development. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to sustainable development by conducting research and analysis on local aquatic ecosystems, particularly as they relate to our real estate projects. This role is essential for ensuring that our developments align with environmental regulations and support biodiversity conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct field studies and assessments of fish populations and aquatic habitats in the coastal and inland waters of Dubai.
- Analyze the ecological impact of real estate development projects on local fish species and their habitats.
- Collaborate with environmental consultants, urban planners, and developers to integrate sustainable practices into project designs.
- Monitor and report on the health of aquatic ecosystems and the status of fish populations affected by development activities.
- Provide expert advice on best practices for fish conservation and habitat restoration to project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings, including recommendations for mitigating environmental impacts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in fish biology and marine conservation, particularly in the context of urban development.
- Engage with local and international environmental organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to promote awareness and advocacy for marine conservation.
- Participate in public outreach and educational programs to raise awareness about the importance of aquatic ecosystems.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Biology, Ecology, Fisheries Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in fish biology or marine ecology, preferably with a focus on urban development or environmental impact assessments.
- Strong knowledge of local fish species, aquatic ecosystems, and environmental regulations in the UAE.
- Proven experience in conducting field research, data collection, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information to non-specialist audiences.
- Proficiency in the use of research and analysis software, such as GIS, R, or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to sustainability and conservation principles.
