We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fishery Manager to oversee and manage our fishing operations in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainable fishing practices and a strong background in fisheries management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable fishing practices to ensure the long-term viability of our fishing operations
- Monitor and analyze fish populations to ensure sustainability and compliance with regulations
- Manage a team of fishermen and oversee day-to-day fishing operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with local fishermen and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing fishing activities
- Develop and manage budgets for fishing operations
- Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operations
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in fisheries management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Management or related field
- [X] years of experience in fisheries management
- Strong knowledge of local and international fisheries regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
