Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fishery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fishery activities in Ajman. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aquaculture and fisheries management, with a passion for sustainable practices and a commitment to enhancing productivity and profitability in the sector. The Fishery Manager will be responsible for ensuring the health of aquatic ecosystems, managing fish stocks, implementing best practices in aquaculture, and leading a team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement management plans for fishery operations in accordance with sustainability standards and regulations.
- Monitor fish health, growth, and reproduction rates, and implement corrective actions as necessary to optimize production.
- Conduct regular assessments of aquatic environments to ensure optimal conditions for fish farming and to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with fisheries laws and regulations.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to fishery operations, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.
- Train and supervise a team of aquaculture technicians and field staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners in the industry to enhance operational efficiency and market reach.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve productivity.
- Prepare and present reports on fishery performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
- Promote sustainable fishing practices and educate staff and the community on the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fisheries management or aquaculture, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of fish biology, aquaculture systems, and sustainable fishing practices.
- Proven experience in managing teams and conducting training programs.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with local and international fisheries regulations and environmental policies.

Working Conditions:
- Position based in Ajman, with possible travel to various field sites as necessary.
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor environments, including water bodies, and may require physical activity.
