Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fraud Investigator to join our dynamic team in the telecommunications sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization against fraudulent activities and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Fraud Investigator will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraud-related risks within our telecommunications operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, including but not limited to identity theft, account takeover, and subscription fraud.
- Analyze transaction data and customer patterns to identify anomalies and trends indicative of fraud.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as IT, legal, compliance, and customer service to gather relevant information and evidence for investigations.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations for prevention strategies.
- Develop and implement fraud detection strategies and tools to proactively monitor for potential fraudulent activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes related to fraud in the telecommunications sector.
- Train and educate staff on fraud awareness, detection, and prevention best practices.
- Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as necessary to support legal investigations and prosecutions of fraud cases.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures aimed at minimizing fraud risk and enhancing operational integrity.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in fraud investigation, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in using fraud detection software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to fraud and telecommunications.
- Certification in fraud examination (CFE, CFCS) or related credentials is a plus.
- Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
