Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Assistant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in providing dignified and respectful care to families during their time of loss. This role is essential in supporting funeral home operations and ensuring a smooth experience for grieving families while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Support:
- Assist families with the planning and arrangement of funeral services.
- Provide information regarding available services, pricing, and memorial options.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to grieving families, showcasing sensitivity and understanding.

2. Preparation and Maintenance:
- Prepare the funeral home premises for services, including setting up viewing rooms and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in the preparation of the deceased for viewing, which may include dressing, casketing, and cosmetology as necessary.
- Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and ready for use.

3. Administrative Duties:
- Assist in the completion of necessary paperwork, including death certificates and service agreements.
- Support the Funeral Director with scheduling and coordinating services, including transportation arrangements.
- Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointments with professionalism.

4. Transportation:
- Assist with the transportation of the deceased to and from the funeral home, as well as to cemeteries or other venues as required.
- Ensure that vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and ready for service.

5. Community Engagement:
- Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote the funeral home’s services and educate families about end-of-life planning.
- Collaborate with local organizations and religious institutions to provide support during difficult times.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in funeral service or related fields is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role, preferably within a funeral home or healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy in interactions with grieving families.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by service demands.
- Valid UAE driver’s license is preferred.

Skills:

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Basic knowledge of funeral practices and procedures is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
