We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Greenhouse Manager Assistant to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and sustainability, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. This position will support the Greenhouse Manager in all aspects of greenhouse operations, including plant care, maintenance, and educational programming.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Greenhouse Manager in planning and executing greenhouse activities and programs
- Ensure the proper care and maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilizing, and pest control
- Assist with greenhouse construction and installation of equipment
- Monitor greenhouse climate and make adjustments as needed
- Coordinate with teachers and students to facilitate educational programming and tours
- Maintain accurate records of plant inventory, maintenance activities, and program attendance
- Assist with budgeting and procurement of supplies
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers and interns working in the greenhouse
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in greenhouse management or related field
- Strong knowledge of plant care, greenhouse operations, and sustainable practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and greenhouse management software
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
