Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Greenhouse Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art greenhouse facility in Sharjah. This unique role combines agricultural expertise with financial services, contributing to sustainable practices and innovative agricultural solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, greenhouse management, and a solid understanding of financial operations within the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greenhouse Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the greenhouse, ensuring optimal growing conditions for a variety of plants and crops.
- Monitor and maintain environmental controls (temperature, humidity, light, and irrigation systems) to maximize plant health and productivity.
- Implement and manage integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize pest and disease issues.

2. Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with financial analysts to develop and manage budgets for greenhouse operations.
- Analyze production costs, profitability, and financial performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and growth opportunities.

3. Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of greenhouse staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster professional development.

4. Research and Development:
- Stay updated on the latest greenhouse technologies and sustainable practices, integrating new methods to enhance productivity and sustainability.
- Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to explore innovative agricultural techniques and financial models.

5. Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with local regulations and safety guidelines.
- Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular inspections to maintain product integrity.

6. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of materials and resources.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote sustainable agriculture and the financial benefits of greenhouse operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in greenhouse management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of both agricultural practices and financial operations.
- Proven experience in managing a team and leading successful projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in greenhouse management software and financial management tools.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental regulations in the UAE.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and budgeting within the agricultural sector.
- Certification in greenhouse management or related fields is a plus.
