Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Greenskeeper Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support the maintenance and management of greens, landscaping, and outdoor areas associated with our transportation and logistics facilities. This position requires a passion for horticulture, a commitment to sustainability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the maintenance of all green spaces, including lawns, gardens, and ornamental plants, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and well-maintained.
- Support the planning and implementation of landscaping projects, focusing on native and drought-resistant plants suitable for the local climate.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Monitor the health of plants and turf, identifying issues such as pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies; report findings to the Greenskeeper or supervisor.
- Assist in irrigation management, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure optimal water use.
- Collaborate with team members to execute seasonal tasks, such as planting, pruning, mowing, and mulching, to maintain high aesthetic standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including storage facilities for equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the development and management of a sustainable landscape maintenance program that emphasizes environmental responsibility.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in landscaping, horticulture, and equipment operation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, addressing inquiries related to the landscaping and green areas.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures while performing all duties, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in horticulture or landscaping are a plus.
- Minimum of 1 to 4 years of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and pest management.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Knowledge of local flora and sustainable landscaping practices is preferred.
