Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist Assistant to join our dynamic pharmacy team in a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the hospital pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely medication management and pharmaceutical care to patients. This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy department within a transportation and logistics context, particularly in the distribution of medications and medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and medical equipment.
- Support the logistical operations of medication distribution, ensuring that all pharmaceutical products are delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of medication usage, inventory levels, and patient profiles as per hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in effective communication with healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy staff to provide information regarding medications and address any inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of sterile compounds, including intravenous medications, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols to ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to conduct regular audits of medication storage areas and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay informed about new medications, treatment protocols, and pharmacy regulations to provide updated information to the pharmacy team and healthcare providers.
- Support the continuous improvement of pharmacy operations through participation in quality assurance initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication dispensing processes, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with local and international pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication handling and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
