Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Hospital Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in Al Ain. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the hospital's engagement with volunteers, ensuring a high-quality experience for both the volunteers and the patients they serve. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community service, possess excellent organizational skills, and have experience in coordinating volunteer programs within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Recruitment and Training:
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from the local community, universities, and other organizations.
- Conduct orientation and training sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles within the hospital.
- Volunteer Management:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of volunteers, including their skills, availability, and areas of interest.
- Schedule volunteer assignments and ensure adequate coverage in various departments of the hospital.
- Program Development:
- Collaborate with hospital staff to identify areas where volunteers can provide support and enhance patient care.
- Develop and implement volunteer programs and initiatives that align with the hospital's mission and goals.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer environment through regular communication, meetings, and recognition events.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track and evaluate volunteer activities and contributions to ensure they meet hospital standards and enhance patient experience.
- Collect feedback from volunteers and hospital staff to improve the volunteer program continuously.
- Community Engagement:
- Promote the volunteer program through community outreach, partnerships with local organizations, and participation in community events.
- Represent the hospital at various functions and meetings related to volunteerism and community service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community service, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management software.
- Knowledge of healthcare services and a passion for improving patient care through volunteer efforts.
