Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection molding processes, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Setup and Operation:
- Set up and operate injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.
- Select and install the appropriate molds, and configure the machine settings based on product specifications and material types.

- Process Optimization:
- Monitor and adjust processes to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Conduct troubleshooting of machinery and processes to identify and resolve issues promptly.

- Quality Control:
- Perform regular quality checks during the production process, ensuring that products meet defined aerospace and defense standards.
- Document and report any defects, deviations, or non-conformities, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

- Collaboration:
- Work closely with design engineers and production teams to provide feedback on mold designs and suggest improvements based on manufacturing capabilities.
- Assist in training new staff on injection molding processes, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on production output and machine performance for management review.

Qualifications:

- Education:
- Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

- Experience:
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in injection molding within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace and defense sector.

- Skills:
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and machinery.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques related to injection molding.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies relevant to aerospace and defense.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Certifications:
- Certification in Injection Molding Technology (such as from the Society of Plastics Engineers) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.

Additional Information:
This position may require occasional overtime and weekend work, depending on production demands. Candidates must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and remain focused on safety and quality at all times.
