We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lactation Nurse to join our Information Technology team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing lactation support and education to new mothers, promoting and supporting breastfeeding practices, and assisting with any breastfeeding-related concerns or issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial assessments of breastfeeding mothers and infants to ensure proper latch and positioning
- Providing one-on-one counseling and support to breastfeeding mothers
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans for breastfeeding mothers
- Conducting breastfeeding classes and workshops for new mothers
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for breastfeeding mothers and infants
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
- Staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in lactation support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi
- Certified Lactation Counselor or Board Certified Lactation Consultant
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Lactation Nurse
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and best practices
