We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lactation Nurse to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Lactation Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and support to breastfeeding mothers and their newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting breastfeeding assessments and providing guidance on proper breastfeeding techniques
- Assisting new mothers with latching and positioning
- Educating mothers on the benefits of breastfeeding and addressing any concerns or challenges they may have
- Monitoring infant weight gain and milk supply
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized feeding plans
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to new mothers
- Conducting prenatal breastfeeding classes and support groups
- Documenting patient interactions and maintaining accurate records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Valid nursing license in Abu Dhabi
- Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Lactation Nurse or in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and infant nutrition
- Basic computer skills
