About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Language Assistant to join our dynamic retail team in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing customer experiences by providing language support to both customers and staff. This position requires a passion for languages, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Support: Assist customers in various languages to ensure clear communication regarding product information, services, promotions, and store policies.
- Translation Services: Provide translation services for written materials, including signage, product descriptions, and promotional materials, to ensure accessibility for all customers.
- Training and Development: Support staff by providing language training and resources, helping them to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Cultural Liaison: Act as a cultural bridge, offering insights into customer preferences and behaviors based on language and cultural backgrounds.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify language-related needs and assist in enhancing the overall customer experience through tailored communication.
- Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback regarding language services and report findings to management for continuous improvement.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to language services, such as maintaining records of translations and communications.

Qualifications:

- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in languages, linguistics, communication, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a language assistance or customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic or additional languages (such as Urdu, Hindi, or French) is a significant advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
