Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Machine Operator to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of laundry machinery, ensuring that all linens and garments used in our healthcare facilities are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards. This position plays a crucial role in supporting patient care by providing clean and safe linens and garments for use within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate various types of laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and finishing equipment, according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, uniforms, and other textiles used in the healthcare environment, ensuring compliance with infection control policies.
- Monitor the laundry process, adjusting settings as necessary to achieve optimal cleaning results while minimizing damage to fabrics.
- Conduct regular maintenance on laundry machines, including cleaning filters, checking for mechanical issues, and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry loads, including volumes, types of items processed, and any issues encountered during cleaning.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with nursing and housekeeping staff to ensure timely and efficient laundry services are provided to meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on best practices in laundry operations and infection control measures.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies, including detergents, disinfectants, and other necessary materials.
- Follow all healthcare protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in laundry operations is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laundry operation, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of laundry machinery operations.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Understanding of safety and hygiene standards in laundry operations.
