Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist Assistant to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting machinists in operating and maintaining various machines used in the production of pharmaceutical products. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist machinists in the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the production process.
- Prepare materials and components for machining processes, including measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including machine settings, materials used, and any issues encountered during production.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs to the machinist or supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Assist in the training of new team members in operating procedures and safety practices.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in machining or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist assistant or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with machining tools and equipment, including lathes, mills, and CNC machines.
- Basic understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and standard machining practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 kg.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and tools.
