Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Engineer Assistant to join our dynamic team in the energy sector based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our engineering team by assisting in the development, testing, and evaluation of materials used in various energy projects, including renewable energy systems, oil and gas, and power generation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Testing and Analysis:
- Assist in conducting material tests to determine their properties, performance, and suitability for specific applications in energy projects.
- Prepare samples and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate material characteristics such as strength, durability, and corrosion resistance.

2. Research and Development:
- Support R&D activities by researching new materials and technologies relevant to the energy industry, including sustainable materials and innovative engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop methodologies for material selection and performance evaluation.

3. Data Collection and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments and tests, and assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and material specifications.

4. Quality Assurance:
- Assist in quality control processes, ensuring that materials meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Participate in inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and quality regulations.

5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists, to ensure effective communication regarding material requirements and performance.
- Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions regarding material selection and project challenges.

6. Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to the materials engineering team, including scheduling meetings, organizing documentation, and managing project timelines.
- Support inventory management for materials and equipment used in testing and research activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience in a materials engineering role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of material properties, testing methods, and quality assurance protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures related to material characterization.
- Proficient in data analysis software and technical report writing.

Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and engineering software tools.
