We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Interpreter to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills and a deep understanding of medical terminology in both English and Arabic.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and clear interpretation services for medical consultations, procedures, and discussions between healthcare professionals and patients
- Translate medical documents, reports, and instructions from English to Arabic and vice versa
- Assist healthcare providers in communicating effectively with patients who speak Arabic as their primary language
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and culturally sensitive communication with patients
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of medical terminology in both languages
- Previous experience working as a medical interpreter in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in medical interpretation
- Knowledge of additional languages spoken in the UAE
