We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and knowledge management, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize a collection of medical books, journals, and electronic resources
- Assist medical staff and researchers in finding relevant information and resources
- Provide training and support to users on how to access and utilize library resources effectively
- Stay current on new developments in medical research and information management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the library meets the needs of its users
- Develop and maintain library policies and procedures
- Coordinate interlibrary loan services and document delivery for users
- Assist with cataloging and classification of materials in accordance with library standards
- Participate in library outreach activities and events to promote library services
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in a medical library setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and resources
- Familiarity with library systems and databases
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
