Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our merchandise operations to enhance customer experience and drive sales. The Merchandise Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to ensure that our product offerings are strategically aligned with market trends and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Merchandise Planning and Strategy:
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to develop effective merchandise strategies.
- Assist in creating seasonal merchandise plans and budgets to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align promotional strategies with merchandise offerings.
2. Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and analyze inventory turnover rates to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage reordering processes and maintain product quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
3. Product Development and Selection:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to select and develop new products that meet customer demand and align with corporate goals.
- Prepare product assortments and presentations for internal reviews and approvals.
4. Sales Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate detailed reports on merchandise performance, sales trends, and inventory levels.
- Utilize sales data to make informed decisions regarding product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaise with the sales team to gather feedback on product performance and customer preferences.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, including marketing, finance, and logistics departments.
6. Customer Engagement:
- Assist in developing customer engagement strategies to enhance brand loyalty and improve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in merchandise coordination, retail management, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with merchandise management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
