Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mine Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and health of our workforce in construction projects involving mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mine safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory compliance, along with a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess risks associated with mining activities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
- Stay updated on the latest safety regulations, technologies, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external organizations to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness and accountability among all employees.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mine safety engineering or a related field within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems.
- Proven experience in conducting safety training sessions and developing safety programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse workforce and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) are preferred.

Working Conditions:

- This position may require occasional travel to project sites and may involve exposure to outdoor conditions.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
