Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Mobile App Tester to join our dynamic team in Sharjah, specializing in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our mobile applications, which play a critical role in enhancing our operational efficiency and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with project managers and developers to establish testing timelines and deliverables.

- Functional Testing: Execute functional tests to ensure that mobile applications perform as expected across various devices and operating systems. Identify and document bugs, issues, and discrepancies for resolution.

- Usability Testing: Conduct usability tests to assess the user experience and interface design. Provide actionable feedback to improve application usability and overall user satisfaction.

- Performance Testing: Assess application performance under various conditions, including load testing and stress testing, to ensure reliability and responsiveness.

- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing following updates or enhancements to the application to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected.

- Automation Testing: Utilize automation tools to streamline testing processes where applicable. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.

- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of mobile applications. Communicate findings and progress effectively through reports and meetings.

- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports. Ensure all documentation is up to date and easily accessible.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in mobile app testing. Propose improvements to testing processes and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in mobile application testing, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of mobile application development processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium, JUnit).
- Familiarity with both Android and iOS platforms, including knowledge of their respective development environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
