Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutrition Assistant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our nutrition and wellness initiatives, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of nutritional quality and safety. This position requires a solid understanding of nutrition principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Nutritional Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition programs and initiatives that align with company goals.
- Provide nutritional guidance and support for product development teams, ensuring that formulations meet regulatory standards and nutritional guidelines.

2. Product Analysis:
- Conduct nutritional analysis of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with nutritional labeling and health claims.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct sensory evaluations and assess product quality.

3. Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of nutritional information for all products, including ingredient lists, nutritional values, and allergen information.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions and audits related to food safety and nutrition.

4. Research and Development:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nutrition and health, and assist in researching new ingredients and formulations.
- Participate in product testing and consumer feedback sessions to gather insights on nutritional preferences.

5. Education and Training:
- Assist in the development of training materials for staff on nutrition-related topics and food safety practices.
- Conduct workshops and informational sessions to promote nutrition awareness within the organization and the community.

6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, marketing, and production, to support product innovation and ensure alignment with nutritional standards.
- Engage with external partners, including suppliers and regulatory bodies, to stay informed about industry practices and requirements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 7 years of relevant experience in nutrition, food science, or a related area, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, nutritional labeling, and health claims.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret nutritional data and research findings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and nutrition analysis software.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification as a Nutritionist or Dietitian is a plus.
- Experience in product development within the food or beverage industry.
- Knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.
