Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll processes for our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration within the construction sector, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, managing payroll records, and providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses, deductions, and overtime.
- Ensure timely disbursement of payroll on scheduled pay dates.
- Review and validate timekeeping data to ensure accuracy before payroll processing.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies regarding payroll practices.
- Prepare and submit all required government reports related to payroll, including tax filings and labor statistics.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and support in payroll processing and related functions.
- Conduct training sessions for payroll team members on new policies, procedures, and systems.
- Employee Support:
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and timely responses.
- Assist employees with issues related to payroll discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefits.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and HR departments to optimize payroll software and systems.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized and secure payroll documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems; familiarity with local payroll regulations and labor laws in the UAE.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
