We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Pathologist to join our Retail team in Ajman. As a Plant Pathologist, you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and treating plant diseases in various retail settings, such as nurseries, garden centers, and landscaping companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of plants to detect signs of diseases or pests
- Collecting samples for laboratory analysis to identify pathogens
- Developing and implementing effective disease management strategies, including chemical treatments, biological controls, and cultural practices
- Providing recommendations to retail customers on disease prevention and management
- Monitoring and documenting disease outbreaks and trends in the retail sector
- Collaborating with other plant health professionals, such as entomologists and agronomists, to address complex plant health issues
- Keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements in plant pathology to enhance disease management practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plant Pathology or related field
- [X] years of experience in plant disease diagnosis and management
- Strong knowledge of plant pathology principles and techniques
- Experience working in a retail environment preferred
- Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different retail locations
