Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Policy Researcher specializing in Information Technology to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on various IT policies, regulations, and emerging trends within the technology sector. This role is critical in supporting the development of informed policy recommendations that align with national objectives and promote sustainable technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on current and emerging information technology policies, regulations, and practices both locally and internationally.
- Evaluate the impact of existing and proposed IT policies on various stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector organizations, and the general public.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and perspectives on technology-related issues facing the region.
- Draft detailed reports, policy briefs, and position papers that present research findings and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess global trends in technology policy, including data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
- Engage with government officials, industry experts, and academic institutions to facilitate discussions on policy matters and best practices.
- Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to disseminate research findings and promote dialogue on technology policy.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of legislative developments and contribute to advocacy efforts related to technology policy reform.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Information Technology, Political Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in policy research, technology analysis, or a related area.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to convey research findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and tools, as well as familiarity with statistical analysis software is a plus.
- Knowledge of the IT landscape in the UAE and an understanding of the regulatory environment affecting the sector.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
