About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities within the education sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement management, particularly in sourcing educational materials, services, and equipment. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the procurement strategy to align with our organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the educational institution’s objectives and budgetary requirements.
- Lead the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing educational materials, supplies, and services to enhance the learning environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of products and services.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings against organizational needs.
- Prepare and issue tenders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotations (RFQs) in compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Review and analyze bids and proposals, making recommendations for the selection of suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, and delivery capability.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and develop solutions that support their requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on procurement policies and procedures, promoting best practices within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
