Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Analyst to join our team in Dubai, focusing on the transportation and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing public health data, assessing health risks associated with transportation systems, and recommending strategies to improve public health outcomes. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of public health principles, and a passion for promoting health in the context of transportation and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret public health data related to transportation and logistics, including but not limited to traffic accidents, pollution levels, and the spread of communicable diseases.

- Health Impact Assessments: Conduct health impact assessments (HIAs) for new transportation projects and policies to evaluate potential effects on community health and recommend mitigation strategies.

- Research and Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports summarizing research findings, data analyses, and recommendations. Present findings to stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the private sector.

- Policy Development: Collaborate with transportation planners and policymakers to integrate public health considerations into transportation and logistics policies and programs.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and industry representatives, to promote public health initiatives and gather input on health-related transportation issues.

- Monitoring and Evaluation: Design and implement evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of public health interventions in the transportation sector.

- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and support to stakeholders on public health issues related to transportation and logistics.

- Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in public health and transportation to ensure the organization’s strategies are evidence-based and effective.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience in public health analysis, epidemiology, or a related field.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or SAS) and data visualization tools.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

- Experience in transportation planning, logistics, and health impact assessments is highly desirable.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Knowledge of public health policies and regulations in the UAE and the region is an advantage.
